Fingerspelling is mainly for names of people, places, and words for which there are no formal signs (or words that you have not learned or forgotten the sign).
When fingerspelling, hold you’re your hand at a comfortably at about your shoulder level with your palm facing forward.
DON’T BOUNCE OR JERK your hand around!
Don’t mouth the letters!
When you fingerspell words with double letters, like LETTER, move the “T” hand slightly outward to sign the second letter “T”.

Concentrate on fingerspelling the whole word and not each letter.
